How many people can stay in the house?

The house is suitable for up to 4 guests.

Are there any shops?

No, you are on a private, secluded tropical island! Please read the catering page.

Can we use the nearby resort facilities?

No, we all enjoy the privacy that the island provides.

Can we go fishing?

Yes, you can fish off the rocks on the island and there are charter boats available to take you to the outer barrier reef.

Can we use our hairdryer?

No, the house is solar powered so high energy usage items will drain the power supply.

Can we take long showers?

The house has it's own water supply and as water is a very precious commodity for us all we ask that you conserve water where ever possible.

Can I take my pet?

You can't take your pet onto the island as we want to preserve the natural wildlife.

What birds have you seen?

Birdlife on the island depends on the season. We have a few permanent residents such as the Noisy Pitta, orange footed scrub fowl, yellow bellied sunbird, oyster catchers, white throated night jar and the beautiful family of white bellied sea eagles that fly by every day.

Is there surf?

No, unless the sea is rough there is no surf. The Great Barrier Reef stops the surf from rolling in! The waters are tranquil and very safe to swim. We would however recommend stinger suits in the summer months.

Are there other houses on the island?

Yes, we have a caretakers residence and there are six other houses. We all enjoy the privacy of the island so ask that you do not enter the other properties unless invited!
